Draft, review, and negotiate
complicated project agreements in co-operation with sales teams, project
delivery and business teams
Ensure compliance of commercial
mandates and maintain adequate records for compliance or deviation
approvals
Provide legal guidance on legal
matters to minimise exposure to liabilities and disputes
Prepare legal and corporate
documents
Co-ordinate with external
lawyers (both locally and foreign) on legal matters for selected legal
matters such as disputes
Provide legal guidance on
intellectual property compliance infringements and disputes
Maintain records for signed
agreements and other legal documents
Support other geographic market
areas for legal queries related to customers or suppliers in specified
geographic market areas
Coordinate and align legal work
in market area with other market area legal team members
Prepare regular reports /
perform other legal work
TO
SUCCEED
You will hold a current Indian
legal practicing certificate with unsupervised status
Minimum 7 years post-legal
qualification experience in the field of commercial law or contract
law (critical to success).
Superior written and verbal
English skills are paramount.
Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, including the ability to develop relationships with
internal and external stakeholders at all levels
You are collaborative and work
with the MEI Legal team and the business to find solutions for the
business. You resolve challenges with a creative thinking approach
Experience reviewing and
negotiating complex agreements such as EPC, ESP, O&M
Immaculate personal and

Ability to work independently
Experience and advanced
understanding of contracts, commercial law, property law, industrial
relations with sound understanding of compliance and corporate governance
obligations
Experience in handling
corporate and other legal documents
Ability to provide timely and
accurate results for multiple tasks

provide results under pressure
Excellent English language
skills (verbal and written).
Willingness to travel
domestically and internationally.
